Retro Replay Club

About Snax's Retro Replay Club

A monthly excuse to revisit the games that stuck with us.

Why we do it

Retro Replay Club gives us an excuse to replay the games we loved, finally try the ones that passed us by, and hang out with people who get it. It’s a break from the seasonal checklist for a while.

Older games can be clunky, clever, unfair, beautiful, or all four at once. That’s part of why they’re worth coming back to.

How it works

Every month, the community picks two retro games. One is easy to jump into when you’ve got a little time. The other is there for anyone who wants to settle in with something longer.

Play one or play both. Drop your wins, your bad luck, and your “where the hell do I go now?” moments in the Discord server.

At the end of the month, anyone who finished a game gets added to the club archive. Some folks chase RetroAchievements. Some just want to see the credits again. If you’re having fun, you’re doing it right.

How to get started

Join the Discord, then check This Month's Games to see the club picks. Play on original hardware or use an emulator, whichever fits your setup.

Each game page links to emulator options that work with RetroAchievements if you want to chase achievements. Finding and dumping your own game files is up to you.

Our only rule: Play it the old-school way

If you get stuck, crack open an old strategy guide, ask the club, or trade tips with a friend before reaching for a search engine. Half the fun is piecing things together and sharing the discoveries.
